In conjunction with Halloween, A Cut Above Academy was collaborating with Borneo Baruk Club brought you “A Spooky Night Make-Up Show”.

The make-up show is timely as it is also held in the spirit of Halloween celebration. It is due to an appropriate timing to showcase special effects make-up. The term Halloween is shortened from All Hallows’ Even as it is the eve of “All Hallows’ Day”, which is now also known as All Saints’ Day.
It is a popular celebration day in Europe countries. Costumes and masks are worn at the festival in an attempt to mimic the evil spirits.

Inspired by the theme ‘A Spooky Night’, the make-up show aims to enhance the students’ special effects make-up skills and to create awareness among public towards special effects make-up.

The winner of the Halloween Make-Up Competition is Tobby Chong, 1st runner-up goes to Kenneth Paul and 2nd runner-up goes to Ray Lim.
