Foreword of The Founder
It is now 27 years since my hairdressing career began in London, and my love for this craft has never ceased. It has always been my mission to share my knowledge and encourage innovation and creativity within our profession. And hence with the setting up of A Cut Above Academy, it is more than just a realization of my personal dream but also the fulfillment of the Group’s vision. A vision which I am very excited about and is a source of great personal pride to me that the organization which I founded in 1979. Thre Academy is tailored to provide inspiration, guidance and training to all future young hairdressers. It is my sincere hope that this Academy will serve as a springboard for the aspiring and upcoming hairstylists of tomorrow who wish to seek this profession as a respectable career.

My entire working life has been devoted to create and develop a professional image for this craft and art. It is therefore my sincere hope to see the creation of more leaders in this industry for the near future.

To all aspiring students of A Cut Above Academy, many of you have come from far and abroad, I pray that you will treasure and cherish every minute of your learning experience with us, for the team of Educators strive very hard to provide you the best with this "Hairducation system". Believe in Your Self, as We Believe in You! We sincerely hope that our sharing of knowledge will contribute in providing the necessary skills and techniques to prepare you for the pathway of success of your future career.

Our Facilities
The Academy is designed for the most conducive fun learning experience for the students. Brightly enhanced with sharp refreshing colors and ambience, the Academy is equipped with a theory room that is condusive for your fun learning experience.

For practical sessions, there are three studios that resemble the actual salon set-up with individual workstation. A multi-purpose hall is available for big scale events within the premise such as graduation, prize giving ceremonies or foreign visits or gatherings.

Tools and high end salon equipments ensure that students are knowledgeable with the latest technique for satisfactory results. Lockers are provided for all students to keep their belongings.
